Stop the spread of CWD, out of state transportation guidelines.
Here at Brandywine Wildlife Artistry, we will work on any wild game animal from anywhere you harvest them. Although there is requirements set by the state to help stop the spread of disease. We as well as the state both take this very seriously. If you’re brining in a moose from Canada or a buck from right down the road in Maryland these rules are the same. There are a few steps enforced by the state that you must complete before dropping your trophy off.
Here is what must be done before bringing your meat and trophy into the state of Pennsylvania. This applies for the following animals Deer, Elk, Moose, and Caribou. Please also check with the state or providence you harvested your animal to make sure you are following all their guidelines as well. You must remove the following from the animal you harvested its spine, brain, tonsils, eyes, and any lymph nodes. Once all of this is done you are good to bring your animal across state lines into Pennsylvania.
These steps must be taken before dropping your trophy off for us to work on. please know that these laws may change over time so keep up to date with the PGC on their latest laws. CWD is a disease that attacks and deteriorates the brain of the animal and will eventually lead to the death of the animal. For more information on CWD and what it is and how it is spread please refer to the PGC website, or watch their quick video on CWD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EpTqOAFziA&t=7s . We appreciate your precaution and effort in hopefully stopping the spread of CWD. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
